Our current stack includes PHP 8.4 for suitable projects. PHP 8.4 was released in November 2024 and is still an officially supported PHP version in 2026.
According to the PHP project, PHP 8.4 gets active support until 31 December 2026 and security fixes until 31 December 2028.
PHP 8.5 is a newer supported version, so we don't call PHP 8.4 the latest. We choose PHP versions based on framework requirements, package compatibility and server stability, not on whatever was released most recently.
